Root causes are methods of categorizing students' reasons for absence. One or more root causes can be assigned to a student on the student's profile.
- Navigate to the student's profile.
- In the Information section, scroll down to the Root Cause Domain(s) field. If a student has already been assigned root causes, you will see them listed here.
- To add a new root cause to the student, click Edit to the right of the Root Cause Domain(s) field.
- Check the desired root cause(s) in the drop-down menu, and click the Save button to save your changes.
